2010: Day 19
January 19, 2010. Nothing special about this day. It rained and was cold all day. The perfect combination of elements to keep people away, just my luck. Did some things here and there, but my day didn’t get interesting until it was about to end.
Salesmen. Can we talk about these fools for a second? When I say no, it actually means that I don’t want your product. It doesn’t mean that perhaps I’m not sure right now, but maybe I’ll want some shortly after you leave. So when a salesman approaches you and says, “Okay I’ll your signed up for a box, but if you decide you don’t want it, you can just log on and delete it from the order.” Decide if I don’t want it? I just decided 30 seconds ago when I said no. And where will be I logging onto? Some website? Are there secret access codes you’ll be giving me, because I’ve never used your lame service before. Not to mention, how dare you try to pull the wool over my eyes by tricking me into acquiring some of your product. You could quite possibly be the crappiest salesmen out there. You can’t even sell a box of paper. For those who don’t already know, if someone ever approaches you and tells you that you can only get their great deals “face-to-face” then its a scam. I don’t care how professional they look or how articulate they are, they are selling crap and will take you for all you have. You’ll be in a 10 year contract with their company before you even receive you first package.
Coffee is definitely something I don’t think I’d be able to live without. Is that sad? I mean I understand that it will eventually put a hole in my stomach, but by the time that happens they should just be able to give me a new one, am I right? The only thing that does get to me is that there are coffee shops open late around here. 8 or 9 pm and they are all shut down. What the hell? When I get out at 1030 pm or 11 pm I want to cool down with a coffee and lemon poppy muffin. I also could be the only person who wants coffee at that hour.
I finished off the day by heading over to “that other burger place” and had some food and a drink with “L”. It quickly became a constant exchange of jokes and hard laughs. We spent some time exchanging ideas on a new project that we will be co-oping on. The project will remain a secret for the time being. Soon I shall reveal more details to you.
Wait, wait, that wasn’t the end of my day. Of course, I took advantage of the late-night and “man-handled” some people online on MW2. It felt good I won’t lie. I have become a sniping fool.
side note: I’m not at all proud of “man-handling” anyone….especially in a video game….online….with people I don’t know. fml.
