Remember the times when responsibility didn’t exist? Remember the times when you fell running and got a fat lip? Remember when appreciation didn’t matter? And everything around us was just a bunch of clatter? Remember the times that you pouted and ran to your room? Or the times that you weren’t as tall as mommy’s broom. Your sheets were filled with Disney characters, planets, stars, and the moon. I use to find pleasure in skipping rocks over water, but hated them time-outs spent in the corner. Sooner than later, I got a little older, and started to realize that my nights got a little colder. My emotions would multiply and my eyes, for the first time, would cry. Older now and much more wise, I want a better life for myself before I die. Health and prosperity are now on my wish list, along with that, eternal bliss. I haven’t given much thought to peace among all, but I wouldn’t mind seeing us all get along. Do you think this could happen before my blood comes? I don’t want them to hate, it’s healthier to love. Today, we have the ability to learn of our History, so keep flippin’ pages until your fingers start blistering. I appreciate all the people who have paved the way but my greatest appreciation came with diversity in November of 2008.
